Jokai Theatre is the successor of Hungarian Regional Theatre founded in 1952. The building of the theatre was first unveiled and put to use in 1987. The building was initially intended for the Town Culture Centre. The auditorium holds up to 325 viewers. The exterior of the building is accompanied by a small courtyard, where a statue of Attila Kaszas can be found. Kaszas was a Hungarian actor who spent his childhood and high school years here in Komárno.
