The Officers‘ Pavilion is one of the biggest historical sites in town. Built in mid-19th century the pavilion served the royal army and their families. Originally the building held apartments for the royal officers and their families as well as a royal casino. The biggest eye-catchers of the building are monumental corner towers and the main gate with emperor’s motto VIRIBUS UNITIS (Strength in unity).
Nowadays the building is a multi-functional complex with university, a library, a restaurant, a café, a police station and many more. In between pavilion’s wings you can find a public courtyard and an open-air theatre. miestom na oddych v meste.
